Privacy Policy

Mimelio is a landing page personalization platform for Google Ads advertisers. This Privacy Policy describes how SWALA SAS ("Mimelio", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects your information — including the data we receive from Google APIs when you connect your Google Ads account.

1. Who we are

Mimelio is operated by SWALA SAS, a French simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) registered at 60 rue François Ier, 75008 Paris, France. Registered in France — SIREN 943 627 828.

2. Data we collect from Google services

When you use Mimelio, we receive data from Google APIs through OAuth authorization. We only request the minimum scopes required for the product to function:

  • openid and email — to identify the Google account that authorized the Google Ads connection.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords — to read your Google Ads accounts, campaign structure, ad groups, keywords, search terms, final URLs, and performance metrics.

2.1 Google profile data

When you authorize a Google Ads connection, we receive the email address of the authorizing Google account. We do not request access to your name, profile picture, contacts, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google service.

2.2 Google Ads data

The Google Ads OAuth scope grants Mimelio read access to:

  • The list of Google Ads accounts (customer IDs) accessible by the authorizing user, including manager (MCC) accounts and their hierarchy.
  • Account metadata such as descriptive name, currency code, time zone, and status.
  • Campaign structure: campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, and search terms.
  • Final URLs and tracking templates associated with your ads.
  • Performance metrics (impressions, clicks, conversions, cost) when used to power analytics features inside Mimelio.

2.3 Account & usage data

We also collect data you provide when creating a Mimelio account (via Clerk authentication): email, name, organization name, and language preference. We log standard usage data (request timestamps, feature usage, error reports) to operate and improve the service.

3. How we use this data

We use the data described above strictly to power the Mimelio product:

  • Display the list of Google Ads accounts you have connected and let you select which accounts to sync.
  • Analyze the structure of your campaigns and group keywords into clear audience-intent segments.
  • Personalize landing pages inside Mimelio so that each visitor sees the variation that matches their search intent.
  • Generate optimization recommendations and analytics dashboards within the Mimelio app.
  • Send service-related communications (security alerts, billing, product updates).

4. Limited Use & Google API Services User Data Policy

Mimelio's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Concretely:

  • We do not sell your Google data.
  • We do not transfer your Google data to data brokers, ad networks, or other third parties for advertising purposes.
  • We do not use your Google data for ad retargeting or to build advertising profiles.
  • We do not use your Google data to train, fine-tune or evaluate public, third-party, or general-purpose AI models. All Mimelio analytics and clustering run inside our own infrastructure.
  • We do not allow humans to read your Google data, except: (a) with your explicit consent, (b) for security or abuse investigations, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) where the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

5. Data sharing & subprocessors

We rely on a small set of trusted infrastructure providers to operate Mimelio. None of them sells or repurposes your data:

  • Render — hosting of the Mimelio application and database.
  • Clerk — authentication & user management (email, name).
  • Sentry — error monitoring (no Google tokens or PII in payloads, tokens are scrubbed).
  • PostHog — product analytics (events, no Google Ads data).
  • Google LLC — Google Ads API (source of the data, not a recipient).

We do not share Google Ads data with third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, etc.). All keyword clustering and intent grouping run on infrastructure controlled by SWALA SAS.

6. Storage, retention & security

Data is hosted in the European Union. OAuth refresh tokens are stored in our PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest and tightly restricted access. Tokens are never exposed to your browser or any third party.

We retain Google Ads data and tokens for as long as your Google Ads connection is active. When you disconnect a Google Ads account, the corresponding refresh token is revoked with Google and the related synced data is deleted within 30 days.

When you delete your Mimelio account, your account, all Google Ads connections, tokens, customers, projects, clusters, experiences and landing-page data are permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Your rights

As a user, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and a right to data portability.

  • Disconnect Google Ads at any time from Settings → Integrations → Google Ads inside the Mimelio app, or revoke access from myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Delete your account & data from Settings → Account → Delete account or by emailing support@mimelio.com — see our Delete account page for the detailed procedure.
  • Exercise GDPR rights by contacting our data-protection contact at bourgogne.y@gmail.com.
  • Lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority (CNIL) at www.cnil.fr.

8. Cookies & tracking

Mimelio uses strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We use first-party product analytics (PostHog) on the application to understand feature usage. We do not use advertising cookies on the public website.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices, the law or our products. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified inside the Mimelio app.
